Meissner

She takes great inspiration from the work of UPA (United Productions of America), a 1960s animation department who specialized in limited and abstract animation. 


 graduated from Columbus College of Art and Design in 2023, with a major in illustration and a minor in animation. Charlotte has been a lifelong artist, scribbling ideas out in between class, work and trips to the local art museum.


Currently, when she’s not drawing taxidermy at Chicago’s Field Museum, she is working on several independent projects.


is her longest running independent project. A 20-minute animated short about her experience with the aftermath of a medical crisis. She hopes to complete final production in
early 2027. 


her free time she creates acrylic paintings and digital art, often depicting the world from a cartoonish perspective. These paintings illustrate anamorphic mice and other small creatures that live in a world of harmony and mischief. This work is inspired by the likes of Maurice Sendak, Ludwig Bemelmans and other fanciful early 20th century artists.
